Team journaling workshop

The 2024 send-off:

A joyful end-of-year journaling workshop to uplift, inspire and connect your team.

Keen to treat your hardworking staff to a wholesome wellbeing experience for Christmas? My end of year journaling workshop could be it.

This creative workshop is designed to uplift, inspire and connect your team through the simple-but-powerful practice of positive journaling – and round off 2024 in a feel-good way!

In this cosy session, you’ll first learn a little about how positive journaling can benefit your wellbeing. Then I’ll guide you and your colleagues to complete a mix of accessible writing and drawing prompts on our end-of-year theme.

We’ll reflect on what’s happened in 2024 and look ahead for what’s to come. We’ll cultivate positive feelings like gratitude, optimism and joy. We’ll have opportunities to share and discuss our journal entries with each other to spread the festive cheer! And preferably we’ll do it all over good coffee and mince pies 🙂🎄

I’d recommend a 1.5 or 2 hour session, if your schedule will allow it. But I can also adapt the session to be 1 hour long if needed.

Virtual workshop: £200

In-person workshop: From £240 (+ travel expenses from Falmouth)

“Our staff creative journaling workshop was so much fun with Hannah. It was a great exercise to do personally to round up our year, but also as a team it really brought us closer together.

As the business owner I found it very touching and quite emotional to hear everyone’s kind words and support at the end of the year, and it was filled with a lot of laughter too.

I definitely recommend you try one of these with your team.”

Team wellbeing Christmas party

Contact me on hannah@journalforjoy.co.uk and let me know:

1. The date you’ve got in mind
Please note that the workshops are available between the 25th of November and 20th of December 2024.

2. The location for the workshop
It could be virtual, at your workplace or a different venue of your choice! It just needs to be somewhere quiet, dry and comfortable.

3. How many people are in your team

The optimum amount of people is between 8 and 16 – but if you have a smaller or larger team, please still get in touch and I can adapt the session. Remote workshops, in particular, can easily work for 50+ people.

4. How long the slot is
Ideally we’ll spend 1.5 or 2 hours together to allow your team to get into the journaling. Though if you only have an hour, that can work too! There will just be less journaling activities and less time for sharing and discussion.

Once I have all of this info I’ll be in touch to make a plan and confirm your cost.

Or if you’re still unsure if this workshop is right for you and your team and want to find out more, I’d be very happy to arrange a time to have a chat and answer your questions.

Workshop FAQs

  • Whilst I've found 8-14 people to be the optimum number of people for my usual workshop format, I’ve hosted workshops for groups as large as 60! Larger groups are absolutely possibly but there will just have to be no/less sharing and discussion between journaling.

An alternative solution, if you're keen to keep the sharing element, would be to split up your team into groups and run multiple workshops.

Contact me on hannah@journalforjoy.co.uk to discuss your estimated group size and I’ll let you know how it could work.

  • I'm based in Falmouth, Cornwall, so many of my workshops are delivered in this county. However, I'm always open to discussing travelling elsewhere, providing you're happy to cover my travel expenses.

  • I’ve run workshops in all sorts of places, indoors and outdoors, from offices to yoga studios to beaches! The suitability of the location really depends on the nature of the group but ideally the space should be fairly quiet, dry and offer somewhere to sit and journal comfortably.

  • Yes, absolutely! I often host sessions on Zoom and participants usually find them just as valuable, fun and engaging as those that have attended in-person workshops.

  • Each participant just needs to bring their own notebook/journal and pens/pencils. I always bring spare paper and a bunch of colourful pens and pencils too, just in case.

  • Nope! My workshops are suitable for complete beginners. Although if you or your team members have dabbled in journaling, or even if you’ve been journaling for a long time, I’m sure that you’ll take something new away from the sessions. All experience levels are welcome.

  • No. My background is in writing. I am Mental Health First Aid trained but if you’d like me to host a workshop with a group with specific mental health challenges or needs, a member of your team or a caregiver will need to be present.

  • This is something that I hear a lot… but the truth is, we’re all creative! Sometimes we don’t feel that way because we don’t make time for it, or we’ve been told that we’re not creative in the past and it’s a belief that’s stuck with us. My workshops are designed so that you can take part and practice playful creativity, even if you have no prior experience of creative writing or drawing. You might even surprise yourself (people often do) 🙂
