Please note that I am not a therapist. If you are seeking specialist mental health support, please contact a trained therapist or counsellor or speak to your GP.

How it works

1:1 journaling

The 1:1 Journal For Joy session

We’ll have an informal 60 minute meeting so we can get to know each other and chat through the areas of your life that you want to bring more joy and positivity. These areas might be broader things like your work or relationships, or more specific things like connecting with your sense of childlike fun, or exploring a certain goal or situation.

I’ll then go away and create a series of bespoke journaling prompts especially for you, your life and your needs. There will be a mix of writing, drawing and ‘mini adventure’ activities, all designed to help you bring a positive focus to the areas we’ve discussed.

I’ll usually write 50+ journaling prompts for you to delve into, and will deliver them via email within two weeks of our intro meeting.

COST: £150

On-going 1:1 support

The journaling check-in: £50
Around a month after I’ve supplied your bespoke journaling prompts, we can schedule a 60 minute follow-up chat to check in with how the journaling’s been going for you and give you a space to share and discuss your journaling entries so far. This one-off session will also offer you the chance to ask me any questions you might have — and help you decide on your next steps!

Regular 1:1 journaling guidance: £45 per session*
I’d love to support you on an on-going basis, holding space for you to journal and for share and discuss your entries with me, as well as allow regular check-ins on how your personal journaling journey is progressing. We can have the sessions over an agreed time period i.e once a month for 3 months, or we can do things a little more ad hoc. I am open to creating a plan to suit you and your needs.

*I offer a 10% discount for batch bookings of 3 or more sessions (paid in one amount before the first session begins)

You’ve probably heard that journaling comes with all sorts of incredible mental and physical benefits, from reduced stress and anxiety to improved confidence and self-awareness. But here’s what makes Journal For Joy different:

Positivity

Us humans have a tendency to focus on the negative — and the style of journaling that I’ll encourage you practice is a refreshing antidote to that. I’ll guide you to cultivate a more balanced positive mindset by bringing focus to feelings like gratitude, hope and awe.

Creativity

Journaling isn’t just about reflective writing (though we will do some of that too!). The prompts I’ll share with you will be rooted in playful creativity and encourage you to express yourself freely and enjoy the process. You can expect a mix of accessible creative exercises like drawing, poetry and more.

= Joy!

I believe that practicing positive and creative journaling creates more opportunities for joy. And experiencing joy not only feels good in the moment; it can have a magical ripple effect in all areas of our lives.
